DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, June 19\n9 a.m.–4 p.m.\nKillam Library\, Room 2600 (LINC/Collider)\nLink to register for the event (opens in new tab)\nJoin us for a Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) retreat designed to help you move your project forward in a supportive and collaborative environment. Whether you're just getting started or deep into your writing\, this retreat offers structured time for reflection\, goal setting\, focused work\, and peer feedback. Connect with fellow educators\, share your progress\, and leave with renewed momentum and clear next steps. Come ready to reflect\, write\, analyze... and make progress on your SoTL journey!\nLight snacks and coffee will be provided.\nThere will be an hour break for lunch. On top of that\, most of the day will be spent working\, so anyone can come and go as they please/need.\nHere is a tentative schedule for the day… we could even post this if you like! Either with the bullet point details\, or without. 😊\n9–9:15 a.m. - Arrival and Welcome\n\nCoffee/tea.\nBrief introduction to the day's schedule and objectives.\n\n9:15–9:30 a.m. - Individual Reflection and Goal Setting\n\nParticipants take time to reflect on their current SoTL projects.\nIdentify what they need to work on or accomplish during the retreat.\n\n9:30–10 a.m. - Sharing Plans\n\nEach participant shares their project status and goals for the day.\nOpportunity for brief feedback and suggestions from the group.\n\n10 a.m.–12 p.m. - Morning Working Session\n\nParticipants choose to work individually or in small groups.\nFocus on writing\, data analysis\, or other project-related tasks.\nOr engage with a SoTL Process Station – resources and guidance about various steps in the SoTL process\n\n12–1 p.m. - Lunch Break\n\nBring your own lunch\, or take a break from the retreat for lunch.\n\n1–1:30 p.m. - Mid-Day Check-In\n\nParticipants share their progress and any challenges faced.\nGroup feedback and support to address any issues.\n\n1:30–3:30 p.m. - Afternoon Working Session\n\nContinue working on SoTL projects.\nOption to switch between individual and group work as needed.\n\n3:30–4 p.m. - Final Check-In and Sharing\n\nSummarize the day's achievements.\nEncourage participants to continue their work and stay connected.
