The Campus Construction Update is a regular feature of the Weekly E-Bulletin in an effort to keep the campus community informed of any potential distruptions to regular work practices during summer construction.
Week of June 5th – 16th
Interior
Piping installation to continue in LANGILLE, HALEY and JENKINS HALL Buildings. (Chance of minor noise with this work)
Civil work for concrete pads in CHUTE, BOULDING, RUMINANT, LANGILLE, HALEY and JENKINS HALL Buildings.
Electrical work to continue in HALEY building. (Chance of minor noise with this work, hammer drilling)
Isolation and draining to start in HANCOCK and EXTENSION ENGINEERING. (Note: heating will be shut off in these buildings)
Demolition to begin in Hancock and Extension Engineering. (Chance of minor noise with this work)
Exterior
Complete connections of pipes at Engineering Building.
Restoration of Landscaping around Engineering Plant, behind Haley Building, Along River Road,
Poultry Building and in Boulden RAC and Chute Buildings ongoing.
There will be Traffic Control in place for this work.
Set up Traffic Control for Area between Cummins Building and Jenkins Building.
Core Entrance Holes into Cummins Building and Jenkins Building.
Excavate trench and install pipe from Cummins Building to Jenkins Building.
Backfill pipe and restore trenches.
Complete pipe connection from Engineering Building to Dairy Building.
Restore Landscaping from Engineering Building to Dairy Building.
Clean up the areas disturbed from Engineering Building to Jenkins Hall.
Set up Traffic Control between Langille Athletic Center and Cox Institute (New)
Excavate for pipe from Langille Center to Cox Institute.
Start installing pipe. This will include welding in the area.
Fence install from Extension Engineering to Hancock, front and back of building for new building construction
